Well, the Tierra Verde Garage Sale and Gift Market was a wash-out to say the least. I know that all the sellers as well as the Tierra Verde Women’s Club went to a great deal of work to make this sale a success. However, mother nature had other plans……….. We have been blessed to have over 15 years of great weather for this event, so hopefully we will only get rain once every 15 years! However, I was impressed by some of our determined sellers and customers–see the pictures below!
Thank you to all the renters for your support of the sale. There is not a rescheduled sale date due to the complications of getting the word out to the community as well as the use of the parking lot. The Women’s Club also wants to thanks all the businesses in downtown Tierra Verde for allowing us to take-over their parking lot once a year for this sale. We know that it deters their regular flow of Saturday customers, so please stop in and say hello to the business owners the next time you are in downtown Tierra Verde and thank them for their support of our community.
Just a quick housekeeping issue: a shopper bought a tote full of goodies early before the rain, and when the storm hit, she ran for cover leaving her purchases behind–somewhere in the vicinity of spaces 16-22 near the front Bayway road. When the rains lightened, she went back to get her purchases, but everything was gone. If you are a seller and picked up this tote of merchandise, please let me know so I can get the buyers’ name to you.
Lastly, please mark your calendars for next year. The tentative date is Saturday, November 8, 2014.
