SAVE THE DATE – Coming up is the 5th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Family Fun Day on Tierra Verde. The festive event is from 4:30 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, December 5. This is a great tradition for all Tierra Verde families to come out and enjoy music, arts and crafts, a visit by Santa, and of course the island tree lighting.
The downtown area of the island will be filled with activities for all, from caroling to a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. New this year is the emcee talents of retired meteorologist Wayne Shattuck, who spent 20 years at WFTS on its weather desk. The Event includes live music by Gail Tripsmith and the tree lighting at 6:00 p.m! The tree is sponsored by TD Bank.
Free refreshments are supplied by the Tierra Verde Fire Department which is collecting unwrapped toys for the Lealman Fire District’s Annual Christmas Toy Drive. For information on the Tree Lighting, contact Gaye Wurzbacher.
Businesses that choose to sponsor the event will have exposure to our entire island and surrounding areas with listings in the local beach newspapers and on event banners, as well as a free premier space of representation at the event.
